JA SUPER Summer Camp

Junior Achievement of Central Maryland’s SUPER Summer offers a one-ofkind, hands-on experience for kids to run their own town, get their dream job, operate a business, and more while preparing for the real world of work and getting a taste of the entrepreneurial spirit. Participants also enjoy Fit N Fun fitness activities in conjunction with JA’s partnership with the Y of Central Maryland.

Welcome to the wonderful world of J Day, where campers will create new friendships, discover a sense of community, and most importantly have fun. Recreational and instructional swim, athletics, nature on our hiking trails, wilderness, science, arts and crafts, color war, Israeli culture, music and singing, Shabbat celebrations, Shabbabah, paddle boating, carnival, Israel Day, dress-up days, Gaga, special guests, canoeing, zip line, ropes course, and farm to table cooking.

Bunked in the J Early Childhood wing, our youngest J Day campers have a scaled-back version of the fun-filled J Day Camp program designed to meet your child where they are now. In our highly supervised setting, your campers will be safe, happy, and having fun throughout the day.

Introducing J Camps Plus. Multiple programs are designed to introduce your child to STEM, creative arts, nature, lifestyle and more. Several of the programs are held during pre-and post-camps weeks to help parents with busy summer scheduling requirements. Offerings include Space & Rocketry and Earth, Wind, & Fire with the Science Guys of Baltimore, our Young Innovators program at the Krieger Schechter Day School, LEGO Camp with Club SciKidz and so much more.

Entering grades 9 and 10 The CIT program at JCamps is a leadership development program designed to empower teens and support the transition from camper to counselor by offering new responsibilities, challenges, and adventures.

Entering grades 7 and 8

Teens have fun connecting with other Jewish middle-schoolers while building leadership skills and earning community service hours. Mornings are spent in one of the J’s summer camps, where teens volunteer with younger campers and learn leadership skills. Afternoons are spent in electives, workshops and special events. These include basic Red Cross life-saving skills, swimming, trip to Hershey Park, TNT overnight, leadership workshops, team building, Shabbat, sports, fitness, dance, drama, art, photography, scavenger hunts, volunteering, and video production.
