Hands-on learning
Briyana Bundy, a criminal justice major at Harford Community College (HCC), is hoping she gets to take a forensic science class at HCC, so – if for no other reason – she gets to use all the new high-tech equipment that will be at the newly renovated Fallston Hall.

“I am a hands-on learner, and I am so excited to see the updated labs and all the great equipment that Harford Community College is bringing in,” she says, the excitement evident in her voice. The new stateofthe-art labs will feature such items as fingerprint, blood and semen testing kits, and high-powered microscopes.

Bundy, who just started at HCC, says that when she finishes her associate degree, she hopes to transfer to Towson University. “I hope to be a police officer, working in the field and interacting with the community I serve,” she says. “Or, I may become a paralegal, then a lawyer, and then a judge.”

That’s the great thing about higher education – the possibilities are endless. •
